Diverter Dampers for combined cycle power stations
Diverters for combined cycle power stations
Diverters are equipped with internal or external insulation. They are powered hydraulically or electrically while blade actuation may be by means of internal toggle levers or directly through a peripherally positioned shaft with pivot levers.
The diverter is the core part of any combined cycle exhaust gas scheme. Our diverters differ in important aspects from other, more conventional designs, in as much as:
- 1. Blade with lattice support structure (patentet)
and free floating, cardanically attached diaphragm cover plates – no heat distortion – reduced weight - 2. Nicroflex-Hiperform seals (patented)
high resilience as well as stability during modulating service - 3. Twin toggle lever actuation (Patents applied)
provides for 180 degrees rotary movement with optimal utilisation of the toggle lever kinematic –
lower actuating forces-only one cylinder each side required – drive shaft free of bending stress - 4. Diverter drive shaft and integral levers (Patents applied)
designed as lattice structure – no heat distortion-reduced loss of free damper area – lower weight
