Double Louver Damper for FGD and DeNOx- Plants
Double louver dampers are used for the gastight shut off of flue gas ducts. Seal air injection into the space between the blades achieves a 100% gastight shut off (man safe).
This type of damper provides an advantage over the technically simpler tandem damper as far as safety of operation is concerned. If one set of blades should fail for any reason, it is still possible to achieve a tightness of 99,98% with the remaining set.
Double dampers can made of stainless steel or of mild steel with a chemically resistant coating.
