Flap Dampers for FGD and DENOX plants

This type of damper was a development specifically from RAUMAG- JANICH aimed at large FGD & DeNOx  flue gas ducts in power stations.

Depending upon duct size and shape  one or two bladed dampers have been used. Multiple blade designs are feasible.

The  blades may be actuated either by means of a peripherally positioned shaft and pivot levers or alternatively by means of a central shaft with internal toggle levers. All types of  drives may be employed to power them.

The chemical composition and temperature of the gas determines the selection of construction materials. The use of chemically resistant coatings is also feasible.

With single NICROFLEX seals the area equivalent tightness is 99,98% ,while with double seals and seal air, 100% tightness (man safe ) is achieved.
