Problem:

The Customer needed the design and supply of all shut off and modulation dampers for the new FGD and DeNOx plant of the Theiss powerstation. All the dampers should be extremely tight to prevent gas leakages.

Solution:

All dampers were equipped with metallic seals of the NICROFLEX – MLO and MLS type. Moreover, in an open position, flue gas can freely pass through the hollow tandem blades.

Results:

The free pass reduces the loss of free area and consequently causes only minimal across damper pressure loss. Moreover, the tandem louver damper is capable of a 100% gas tight shut off, meeting UVV regulations.
